E-mail Print PDF

The TTR developers have been hard at work on new and great features. Today we have released TTR 1.1, which includes the following new features:

  • My Articles - an easy place to access and manage all of your articles. You can write several drafts of an article and leave it unpublished until it is done.
  • Ask the Experts - if you do a search on TTR but can't find an article to answer your question, submit a question to Ask the Experts. Computer technology experts will research your issue and write answers to your problems.
  • Bugfixes - many stability improvements and enhancements to the overall TTR interface

We hope you enjoy this new release - please let us know what you think by contacting us!

New Changes Coming!

E-mail Print PDF

The Tech Repo is still in an early beta phase, but we've already had some users sign up and write some articles and things are slowly progressing.  While we've been pushing for people to create as much content as possible, we're still working hard on fixing small bugs and introducing new features to make the site even easier to use.  Here are a couple of things that are on the Tech Repo horizon:

  • We'll be adding a link at the top of the page which allows you to see all the articles you've written, how many people have viewed them, how many hits each article has, and more.  This is a largely demanded feature and you can expect to see it in the next few weeks!
  • The home page will be getting a little bit of an upgrade.  Searching for topics should be easier and more straightforward.

If you have any suggestions or changes you'd like to see to the Tech Repo, let us know!  You can also always leave us feedback by clicking on the Contact Us link below.  We really love hearing feedback on our site and it gives us a good idea of what users want.  Thanks!

Introduction

Welcome to The Tech Repo. We are a group of tech-savvy individuals who often look on the Internet for answers to computer and software problems. Forums are a fantastic way to share and collaborate on answers, but unfortunately they have a few shortcomings:

  • expert users tend to post advanced solutions without more elaboration
  • often someone may have the same problem as you, but there is no response or solution posted
  • solutions may span multiple pages of a thread, making it hard to read the entire solution
  • looking through individual topics in a forum involves a lot of back and forth browsing

The Tech Repo aims to remedy these issues by creating a new type of information repository for technology solutions. Anyone can submit a solution - please add your knowledge and share your solution with the world! The Tech Repo uses a modern AJAX search system to locate solutions, thus eliminating the need to browse through topics. Moreover, each solution is constructed to be easy to follow regardless of skill level and complete in its information.

Please send us any comments or feedback and help us build the best technology solutions repository on the web!
